Who we are
Designs Frontier (“we”, “us”) is a digital studio registered in the United Arab Emirates and based at Dubai Silicon Oasis, DDP, Building A1, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For anything in this policy you can reach us at hello@designsfrontier.com or +971 52 253 9533.
This policy is written against Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the UAE PDPL). Where you contact us from the EEA or the UK, we also honour the equivalent rights under the GDPR.
What we collect
We collect only what a studio needs to answer an enquiry and run a project:
- Details you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, company and whatever you write in the brief when you use the contact form or email us directly.
- Project material. Files, credentials and content you share with us during an engagement, held only for as long as that engagement needs them.
- Technical data. Your IP address, browser, device type and the pages you viewed, collected in aggregate so we can see what on the site is working.
We do not ask for, and do not want, special-category data — health, biometric or financial account details.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and scope the work — this is the basis on which most data here is held.
- To deliver, invoice and support a project you have engaged us for.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations in the UAE.
- To improve the site, using aggregate analytics that do not identify you individually.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. If we ever want to send you something you did not ask for, we will ask first, and the newsletter is opt-in only.
Who else sees your data
A small number of processors handle data on our behalf — website hosting, email, analytics and the tools we run projects in. Each is bound by contract to use it only on our instructions. Some operate outside the UAE; where that is so, we rely on the transfer conditions in PDPL Articles 22 and 23.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Project records are kept for the length of the engagement plus the retention period UAE commercial and tax law requires. Analytics data is retained in aggregate only.
Your rights
Under the PDPL you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete it, where we have no continuing legal reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to how we are processing it;
- transfer it to another provider in a machine-readable format;
- withdraw a consent you previously gave, at any time.
Email hello@designsfrontier.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may complain to the UAE Data Office.
Cookies
This site uses only what it needs to function and to count visits in aggregate. It does not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; nothing on the site depends on them.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, access to project material is limited to the people working on it, and credentials are held in a password manager rather than in email. No system is perfect: if a breach ever affects your data, we will notify you and the Data Office as the PDPL requires.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects your rights, we will say so directly rather than relying on you to notice.
