Resource augmentation

Senior talent that moves
with your team.

Designers and engineers who join your standups, work in your repository and follow your process — extra capacity without the twelve-week hiring cycle.

What it covers

The work,
itemised.

We help startups and scale-ups add the design, engineering, and technical leadership needed to accelerate delivery without adding friction.

  • 01

    Dedicated teams

A ring-fenced group working only on your roadmap, scaled up or down with a month's notice rather than a redundancy process.

  • 02

    Individual placements

One senior designer or engineer to fill a specific gap, working to your tickets and your definition of done.

  • 03

    Technical leadership

Fractional architecture and engineering-management support for teams that have developers but nobody setting the technical direction.

  • 04

    Project outsourcing

A whole workstream handed over with an agreed outcome, when your team needs the result more than the involvement.

How we work

Four steps, and
you see all of them.

  1. 01

    Define the gap

The skills, the seniority and the length — plus how you will know it is working.

  2. 02

    Match

We propose named people with real profiles. You interview them and you can say no.

  3. 03

    Embed

They join your tools, your ceremonies and your working hours, with overlap on GST agreed up front.

  4. 04

    Review

A check-in at thirty days and each month after, with the ability to change the shape of the team.

Questions we get asked

The things you’d ask
on the first call.

How is this different from hiring an agency?

An agency delivers a project against a statement of work. Augmentation gives you people who take direction from your team, work in your backlog and report to your lead. You manage the work; we handle the employment, equipment and cover.

What time zones do you cover?

Our team works Gulf Standard Time, which gives a full working-day overlap with Europe, the wider Middle East and South Asia, and a partial overlap with the US East Coast. We agree required overlap hours before anyone starts.

What is the minimum engagement?

Three months. Shorter than that and the ramp-up cost outweighs what you get, which is not a good outcome for either side.

Can we hire someone permanently afterwards?

Yes. There is a conversion arrangement in the agreement rather than a prohibition — if someone is a genuinely good fit for your team, blocking that helps nobody.
